From the shop floor to a product

Rearden Labs was established in 2024 as Akston's manufacturing technology arm. The entity was created to build software with AI that solves the operational problems encountered across a decade of running manufacturing and industrial businesses.

PRISM AI

The flagship product is PRISM AI — the intelligence layer for American CNC manufacturing. Ten integrated modules covering the full manufacturing workflow: blueprint analysis, quoting, job tracking, shop floor kiosk with badge-scan clock-in and machine assignment, command center dashboards, label printing, and financial integration with QuickBooks Desktop.

Every module was designed on the JM Die production floor. The blueprint that takes three days to become a quote. The dozens of hours to program a CNC machine from a technical drawing. The tribal knowledge locked in one person's head. PRISM was built to solve each of these problems.

Architecture

Rearden Labs products share a common technical foundation: browser-first processing, AI powered by Anthropic with zero data retention, Supabase backends, and Vercel deployment. This architecture allows products to run at the cost structure most companies spend on one — with a security posture that enterprise customers require.
